Planning
Planning permission is not required for our cabins providing:
- The building is positioned at least 5 metres away from the rear wall of the house.
- The building can not exceed 4m in height.
- It must not take up more than 50% of your garden, this area includes any other sheds/greenhouses etc.
- If you are on a corner plot the cabin must not be erected nearer the road than the house or exceed the building line of the property without planning consent.
- You do not live in a conservation area or listed building.
Many planning authorities regard timber buildings as having a low impact on the environment but should you have any doubts it is always wise to check with your local authority or log on to www.planningportal.gov.uk.
